Service Description

Sometimes conflict is necessary, and when we understand our own triggers, boundaries and reactions enough to de-escalate ourselves and others, conflict can even be positive. This training is designed to give participants the tools to navigate conflict well, and practice the skills needed to keep ourselves and others safer in time of big feelings. Participants will walk away from this training with: - Understanding our own reactions when triggered - How to de-escalate ourselves and others - How to use the environment to support safer conflict for everyone - Explore the positive use of lived experience in conflict resolution. Simon Clough has worked for the past two decades across a range of services including, homelessness, disability employment, mental health and harm reduction, in positions from front line service to management. Simon is passionate about lived experience practice, having learnt to live with his own mental health issues and using these experiences to assist others by advocating for innovation and change with individuals, communities, health services and systems. Simon is dedicated to community empowerment, coaching and mentoring. He also brings amazing knowledge from coaching MMA and supporting athletes at the highest level both nationally and internationally.
