We are surrounded by dominant models and ways of working with people that are problem based, crisis driven and risk averse. This makes the work feel hard and unpleasant, and minimises people's capacity to find solutions to their own problems. This one day training will offer ideas for working from a strengths and solution focus in our problem-saturated culture. Participants will have space to reflect on their own unique capacity while learning more ways to stand up to the dominant problem culture and work with people in a strengths and solution focused way. Adrian Holmes is an experienced human services worker and strengths-based practitioner who specialises in training on resilience and reflection for counsellors, social workers, psychologists, case managers and any other workers who face daily challenges in their work. This training is aimed at having all participants walk away stronger and finding their work more enjoyable.
